The Play Hut

In 2025, Robyn Hope approached Play Creations Ltd to deliver a bespoke softplay installation for The Play Hut, a new family-focused venue in Congleton. The vision was to manufacture a high-quality design for the indoor softplay space that would appeal to both children and parents, combining engaging softplay features with a calm softplay aesthetic. With a 3,500 sqft footprint, the softplay project required careful softplay design to maximise play value while maintaining a clean and welcoming softplay environment. Our softplay design team worked closely with Robyn Hope, ensuring the softplay design aligned with the venue’s “Scandi Chic” theme, blending soft tones, natural textures, and modern styling to create standout play equipment for children aged 0–11. Play Creations Ltd collaborated with Robyn Hope to develop a softplay design that meets the safety and standard compliance whilst manufacturing functional and durable softplay equipment. The softplay design focused on creating an open, well-zoned softplay environment that incorporated both active and sensory softplay experiences. A large sports softplay area was introduced as a key feature to encourage physical activity and group play, while softer, more immersive softplay elements were designed for younger children. The inclusion of timber decorative panelling and overhead decorative clouds in the softplay helped reinforce the Scandinavian-inspired softplay theme, creating a cohesive and visually striking softplay environment. With no major challenges encountered, the softplay design and planning phase progressed smoothly, supported by our lifetime warranty on steel frameworks and key structural components, providing long-term reassurance on softplay quality and performance. The finished softplay installation delivered an engaging softplay space in a timely and cost effective manner. The striking sports softplay area was a key feature designed for high energy softplay. Complementing this with manufactured sensory features, including two LED infinity mirrors and a dedicated LED light tube within the baby softplay area to support early years development. The softplay manufacture of timber decorative panelling added warmth and texture throughout the space, while suspended decorative cloud features enhanced the soft, calming atmosphere in line with the Scandi Chic theme. The baby softplay area was designed to offer a safe, interactive softplay environment for younger users, ensuring inclusivity across age groups. Installation was completed efficiently by our expert softplay installation team, ensuring a seamless fit within the venue and minimal disruption ahead of launch. Play Creations Ltd has established a strong relationship with Robyn, supporting The Play Hut with ongoing softplay maintenance to ensure the softplay facility remains safe and fully operational.
