Fun Factory is a vibrant indoor soft playground, designed and built by Play Creations for Back of the Net, a sports bar in Wakefield. Created for children aged 0-13, this bespoke softplay installation provides a safe, exciting and engaging environment. Play Creations worked diligently alongside Paul Bentley to turn his softplay dreams into a reality.

This play area features two seperate installations: one for older children and another for toddlers and babies. A specialised toddler area helps maintain safety for all ages and allows babies to explore without risk of older children stepping on them. In addition, Paul's vision was to create a play area for children to explore, grow confident and have fun so that parents can relax, recharge in a safe environment.

Designed with both fun and safety in mind, the softplay encourages physical activity, socialising and imaginative play. Bright colours, interactive features and age-appropriate challenges keep the children entertained while supporting their development. We capture this energy through softplay equipment such as the ever famous Dizzy Disc, numerous slides and our ariel glides!

Softplay Design and Planning

Paul invested £200,000 into the budget for designing and manufacturing this indoor softplay centre. Supplied high quality materials, sourced from trusted suppliers in the UK, the bespoke indoor playground stayed in budget and here at Play Creations, we ensured that it met all safety and standard compliance. We maximised durability and functionality and play value and incorporated the brand colours of Fun Factory in every element of the indoor softplay's design. Every feature offers long-lasting durability, ensuring Paul made a worthy investment.

The expert softplay design team planned for key standout softplay equipment such as the 4 lane Astral slide, Ariel Glide and Splat Pad, and Trampolines. These features intergrate into the main soft play structure to maximise both the age range and the play value. Interactivity and engagement were crucial to Paul's vision for this softplay, so Play Creations worked tirelessly to ensure we met that criteria.

Alongside this, we decided to seperate the toddler softplay and baby area to ensure Paul could appeal to as many age ranges as possible whilst maintaining a safe environment for all. In the toddler area, interactive Totem Poles and Dizzy Disk promote sensory exploration and engage the younger audience.

The incorporation of various softplay equipment showcases Play Creations ability to appeal to numerous age groups. Designing and implementing features that would suit the specific target audiences. Our team uses their expert knowledge of softplay equipment to ensure all customers leave satisfied with an unforgettable, unique experience.
