Old Hall School

Over the summer holidays in 2025, Play Creations Ltd was contacted by Old Hall School to design and manufacture a bespoke softplay and sensory room. Both projects were left under the expertise of the softplay design team at Play Creations Ltd. The goal was to maximise the quality for money and play value in both the sensory room and the softplay space. Old Hall School's representatives wanted the project to be complete for the children to return to in September. They were open to suggestions and wanted Play Creations Ltd to take complete creative control over the softplay design and concept. The theme for this 250 sq. ft softplay and sensory room was to stick with the brand colours of the school and optimise the play value in both the rooms. These rooms are suitable for children aged 4 - 12. The total budget was £30,000 which was invested by Old Hall School. This money went towards the design and manufacturing of both the softplay and sensory rooms, with Play Creations supplying high quality materials and manufacturing the softplay in the UK. The bespoke softplay had to fit the cost whilst ensuring the durability, safety and standard compliance, and the functionality of the rooms. The installation was structured to maximise the play value, whilst maintaining its longevity and continuing to be a perfect investment for Old Hall School. The softplay design team planned for features such as Log Ramp, Board Slide and Hanging Snakes in the softplay room, which all add to the interactivity and engagement that children can have in the room. In the sensory room, features such as the LED Light Tubes, LED Infinity Mirror and the Interactive Rhapsody Panel all add interesting and unique elements. These all show Play Creations affinity to include as much as possible so that Old Hall School could gain as much play value from this installation. The finalised installation, manufactured by our excellent softplay design team, was finished on time, staying within budget and delivered efficiently. This colourful bespoke softplay and sensory room was designed and manufactured in the UK and met the needs of pupils attending Old Hall School. With key elements in the softplay room such as the Log Ramp, Board Slide and Hanging Snakes, the key goal of maximising the softplay space with interactive activities for the children was met. Also in the sensory room, key features such as the LED Light Tubes, LED Infinity Mirror and Interactive Rhapsody Panel add more interactivity and unique characteristics which will promote the experiences of the children at Old Hall School. The representatives at the school were thrilled with the end results, amazed by Play Creations Ltd's ability to maximise the play value in each of the spaces. Play Creations Ltd offers a softplay maintenance scheme that ensures the equipment remains safe and functional throughout its life-span. This scheme helps to preserve the strong relationship that Play Creations Ltd has built with Old Hall School, whilst preserving the longevity of the softplay, making it a worthy long-term investment which maximises its value for cost. Including these key features such as: various Interactive Games Panels, Softplay Shape Stacks and Hanging snakes, allows the project to create a vibrant and captivating area and turn it into a unique softplay experience. This project showcases Play Creations Ltd's ability to add features that maximise the play value and turn a simple softplay experience into a unique and interactive one that the children at Old Hall School will want to remember.
