Rushall School - Walsall's Interactive Indoor Softplay

In 2024, the senior leadership team at Rushall Primary School approached Play Creations regarding a softplay project spanning over 4 rooms. They wanted to have 2 sensory rooms, a softplay and a dedicated movement room.

Rushall wanted the bright and bold softplay to be in the biggest room they had, and we manufactured the custom design to fit this room perfectly. As the school was under refurbishment, Play Creations liaised with the main contractors to engage with them and ensure a seamless softplay install to blend with the school's re-vamp.

The deck height of the softplay needed to be taller then usual, as Rushall Primary School wanted to appeal to the broadest age range possible. Allowing for those as old as 16 to be able to access the equipment. Manufacturing and installation happened over the school holidays to ensure that it didn't interfere with the children's education.

The 750 sq.ft indoor softplay promotes interactivity and engagement, allowing for children aged 4-16 to utilise the equipment. The softplay budget was £50,000 which covered the cost of the design, manufacturing and installation, alongside the supply of high quality UK sourced materials. The durability, functionality and safety and standard compliance of the softplay equipment are of highest priority to the expert design team at Play Creations Ltd, and they ensure every aspect of the softplay design meets these.

Our softplay equipment guarantees safety and longevity, from the Dizzy Disk to the Hanging Snakes, this project was no different. Play Creations implementing our softplay features, ensuring to maximise and utilise the space provided to us. We wanted to fully capitalise on the amount of play value that we were able to create. This made sure that the children will have an enjoyable softplay experience and ensured that Rushall's project was more cost effective and high value for its price. The children at Rushall Primary School now had a colourful bespoke softplay, manufactured for their needs. Interactivity and engagement designed into every physical play space. With tall deck heights, allowing for the older and taller children to also experience this installation, the softplay encourages children of all ages to get the most play value out of the build.

With key softplay equipment such as the Cargo Net, Totem Spinner and both Horizontal and Vertical Rollers, the installation brought a variety of different challenges for the children to explore. This creates a unique and fulfilling experience for everyone. Play Creations built a strong partnership with Rushall Primary School, offering a softplay maintenance scheme that ensures all equipment is functional and safe for the children to continue to use throughout its lifespan. This scheme helps to reassure the senior leadership team at Rushall Primary School that the softplay is long-lasting, of high quality and a worthy long term investment for the school.
