Temple Park Centre

In 2025, the team at Temple Park Centre contacted Play Creations to design and manufacture a new commercial softplay set to replace their former aged and worn-out softplay equipment, as it no longer met their requirements. The community led centre in Sheffield, works to build a neighbourhood collective place and tackle social isolation. Bright and bold is the theme for this softplay equipment, with the team at Temple Centre requesting that the colours matched their brand. The softplay's target included creating a safe, vibrant and refreshed space to attract more families to the community centre and manufacture a high-quality softplay that will flourish under the centre's care.

Cost effectivity and functionality are the main priority for this 1000 square foot softplay, involving manufacturing it to perfectly align with the existing space and increase the play value for the children. Our skilled softplay design team worked closely with the team at Temple Park Centre, co-ordinating with them to manufacture and install this softplay equipment for children aged 0-6.

The indoor playground weaves both its bright colour scheme and bespoke softplay equipment to capture the life and essence of Temple Park. Features such as the irresistable Twin Lane Slide and thrilling Dizzy Disc came together to form a play-rich environment for the children. The custom shoe rack serves to keep the centre free from loose shoes while fostering independence as children use the equipment. We collaborated with Temple Park Centre to ensure the softplay designs functionality, durability and safety and standard compliance. We didn't want to deliver a playground that didn't meet these criteria as Temple Park Centre had already undergone major maintenance issues with their existing set. Fitting into the existing space whilst maintaining optimal softplay value were core ideas for the new softplay. To achieve this, our excellent softplay design team introduced features such as the Dizzy Disc and Horizontal Rollers to add interactive softplay equipment for the children to explore, use and enjoy.

Our softplay equipment guarantees safety and longevity, and this project was no different. Our team at Play Creations implement our softplay features to ensure we maximise and utilse the space provided to us. We wanted to fully capitalise on the amount of play value we were able to create, to ensure that the children will have an enjoyable softplay experience and the community centre in Sheffield will have a space parents and children alike want to come back to.

As all of our softplay projects differ from other softplay manufacturers, using a specially designed timber framing with foam (instead of just pure foam!) our frames last a long time and only need minor maintenance to the outer padding rather then full replacements. This ensures all of our customers get a perfect softplay for as long as possible, designed with their needs in mind. This keeps maintenance costs down in the future, as less of the product needs to be replaced or repaired. The completed softplay installation acheived an engaging and interactive space installed to be cost-effective and increase the amount of softplay equipment that Temple Park Centre had orginally. The striking space featured softplay equipment such as the Dizzy Disc and Wedge Floor which fit this narrative perfectly. Designed to stand out and encourage high-energy activity, this investment became fully worthy of the community in Sheffield that Temple Park wanted to contribute to.

Complementing this gorgeous indoor softplay were sensory features such as the LED infinity mirror, tucked safely into the vinyl inside the softplay. This helped to add an inclusive atmosphere for children and encourage sensory exploration through various senses. This softplay centre offers a safe and interctive environment for children ages 0-6, ensuring inclusivity across the age range. The bright and bold softplay installation was completed efficiently and effectively by our high-skilled softplay team, ensuring a seamless fit into the community centre. Play Creations has formed a strong partnership with the team at Temple Park Centre, offering ongoing softplay maintenance as part of the installation process. This helps to maintain the softplays longevity and keep it looking pristine for the extent of its lifetime with Temple Park Centre. This scheme covers lifetime warranty of the timber framing, ensuring that the team at the community centre are reassured that the softplay is long-lasting and will remain high quality.
